Rule 185
Power to subpoena documents and summon the concerned person or government official
(1) The committee may produce any documents necessary for the purpose of its work or make the relevant person or government official appear. However, if it is felt that the submission of such document will be detrimental to national security, peace and order, public or national interest, the minister shall disclose the reason and inform the relevant committee. The decision of the committee in this regard will be final.
(2) The committee may, if necessary, interrogate the person or government official who has been brought before sub-rule (1).
